news: evolution

Sometimes, as has often been observed, a seemingly quiet surface belies the strong current of activity beneath. Such has certainly been the case for us here at the pencil tin. Between battening down during the recent east coast low-pressure system storm, assisting my elderly parents in the upheaval of moving home and directing much of my creative energy toward a major commissioned artwork, I’ve certainly had very little time remaining to devote to keeping the website up-to-date! However, things are now starting to return to some form of normality – though with a change.

We have decided to discontinue the regular monthly program of creative workshops and offer these only upon request in future – much like the structure of our private tuition. (Please click on the ‘classes’ tab for full details.) We feel this will better serve the diverse desires of participants, whilst also freeing our time somewhat to focus upon our own arts practices. This should enable us to create some new artworks for the studio gallery in time for the next Pittwater Artists Trail – Spring Open Studios on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 September.

We hope to see you there!
